How Tycoon Workshop handles enquiry details, commission notes and hand-tool session bookings, and what you can ask us to do with that information.
What we collect
The quote request form on the contact page asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, the type of work, a preferred timber, a description of the piece or space, and whether you want a site visit across Gauteng. We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or account credentials, and there is no login on this site.
How submissions are stored
When a form is submitted, the handler writes the entry to a local log file at /private/submissions.jsonl. Each record holds the submitted field values, the submission time, the form identifier, the page language and the source GET query string. There is no email service, CRM or analytics platform connected to this log.
Retention
Entries stay in the log until the site owner deletes the file by hand. There is no automatic expiry, scheduled purge or timed deletion. If you want a specific entry removed, write to us and we will locate and delete it from the log.
Your rights
You can ask for access to the details we hold about you, request a correction, ask for deletion, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent to further processing. Requests are handled by the studio owner. Where South African law or the audience location makes GDPR or CCPA provisions relevant, we apply the same access, deletion and opt-out handling.
No misleading claims
We do not publish fake endorsements, invented client names, false urgency or unverified performance figures. Timber shown on the running stock list is not reserved until a commission is confirmed, and hand-tool sessions are capped at six people, so a place is only held once the booking is agreed.
